WELCOME TO Sri Sai Venkateswara Educational & Development Society

Greetings! Preface: SSVEDS website is developed with an aim to provide information about the SRI SAI VENKATESWARA EDUCATIONAL & DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY. SSVEDS has set up Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) and Short-Term Skill Training Centres in different locations of Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Anantapuramu and Sri Satya Sai districts of Andhra Pradesh State. The ITIs were recognised individually by Government of Andhra Pradesh and affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), Directorate General of Training (DGT) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India (GoI). SSVEDS is committed to the development of the unemployed youth to make them employable through the Vocational Skill Trainings. SSVEDS has a strong line in skill trainings and as of now trained more than 10000 candidates through ITIs, MES, PMKVY, DDUGKY, RYK, EGMM etc and more than 70% of them have placed in different sectors. SSVEDS is conducting training programmes in hand with other NGOs also as per their requirements with self-tailored syllabus to meet the industry demand. Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs): ITIs are training institutes which offer range of vocational/skill training courses covering a large number of economic sectors with an objective to provide skilled workforce to the industry as well as self-employment of youth. ITIs provide post-school technical as well as vocational training courses leading to lifelong career in one or two year skill courses. Industrial Training Institutes have played a vital role in development and growth of Indian industries for the past 6 decades.  Major workforces for industry have been trained by these institutions across various sectors of economy. Industry will able to grow and prosper only if the skilled youth coming out from various Industrial Training Institutes are able to meet the expectation of industry in terms of their skill acquisition. ITI Graduates have following Career Options: Jobs as semi-skilled/skilled workers/ technicians in private and public sector industries, SME and MSME jobs in Government organisations like Electricity department, APSTRC, Panchayat Raj, Municipalities, Indian Railways, Army, Navy, Air Force and also paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF etc. ITI holders are employed successfully for past six decades in India and Abroad. Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS): The Craftsmen Training Scheme was introduced by the Government of India in 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic training, to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable training, to cultivate and nurture a technical and industrial attitude in the minds of the younger generation. Craftsmen Training Scheme implemented through ITIs is the oldest system of skill training in country. This scheme is the one of the major schemes in the field of vocational training. Introduction of ‘SSVEDS’ set up ITIs: 1) Sri Sai Venkateswara ITI, Anantapur (Affln. No. DGET-6/1/11/2004): This ITI was established in the year 2004 when there is a need of quality ITI training at Anantapur district headquarters. Within a span of 2 year this ITI would become biggest Private ITI in the district. It consists of 6 important trades/courses with best infrastructure. The name is good enough for the brand image in the ITI training sector.  Large numbers of students were placed in different government and private sectors. Private companies are directly hiring the trainees through campus placements because of qualitative training. Many students of this ITI were got jobs in different government sectors like Electricity Board, APSRTC, Railways, BHEL etc. And many more students were engaged in private sector also. This ITI is ranked All India No.1 in Private ITIs in Grading Score awarded by the DGT, MSDE, GoI. This ITI does have study centre for SAIASD (Special Accredited Institutions for Academic and Skill Development) for ITI trainees to enable them to get Secondary/Senior Secondary Certificate for horizontal and vertical mobility under the aegis of NIOS as per the guidelines circulated by DGT., MSDE., New Delhi vide ref. In a short span of time, this ITI became the best training institute in Hindupur area. Large numbers of trainees have got jobs in local Hindupur industrial area apart from government sector. Also good numbers of students have migrated to Bangalore city for better opportunities. 3) Sri Venkata Sai ITI, Gorantla (Affln.
